How to properly grow
It's an interesting and simple process that even a child can handle. Follow these basic rules:
- Use a substrate that is highly permeable to air and moisture, such as coconut fiber, perlite, vermiculite, soil, or even paper towels. The thickness is 2-3 cm.
- Rinse and soak the seeds for 6-8 hours in warm water.
- Then spread it evenly over the pallet, pressing it lightly with your hand.
- The optimum temperature for the growth of young shoots is 18-22°C.
- Light: in spring and summer - on the windowsill, in winter - use phytolamps to stimulate chlorophyll development, and improve the taste and aroma of sprouts.
- Spray the seedlings evenly 1-2 times a day with a spray bottle, without watering and not allowing them to dry out.
- Cut the finished alfalfa microgreens when they reach a height of 15-20 cm. It can be stored in the refrigerator in a tightly closed container for up to 5-7 days.
