How to properly grow
Growing sunflower seedlings doesn't require any special conditions or skills. The main thing is to follow the basic rules:
- The substrate should be highly permeable to air and moisture. Use soil, coconut fiber, vermiculite, perlite, and linen mat.
- The seeds can be previously soaked in warm water for 8-12 hours. Then spread it evenly over the substrate, press it lightly and cover it to create the necessary conditions for germination.
- Keep the temperature between 18-25°C.
- The light is natural or artificial. Place the lamps at a distance of 20-30 cm from the microgreens, turn on for 12-16 hours a day.
- Watering is regular, but temperate, so as not to overmoisten or overdry the greens. Use a spray bottle and purified water.
Sunflower microgreens are ready for consumption at a height of 10-15 cm when they have 2-4 true leaves. It's better to cut it in the morning when it's freshest and juiciest.
